Following on from our blog about our favourite recipe books, here come the websites…
Update December 2012 – sadly Vegan Village has closed down. Here is another website we have recently come across and highly recommend: mouthwatering vegan.
The Vegan Village online recipe book is a resource that you can trust. All the recipes we have tried have worked out, with some fantastic results. Probably our favourite online resource.
Vegan Campaigns Recipes
Most of these recipes have been tried and tested at the free food fairs and stalls run by Vegan Campaigns. Our favourite include the raw sushi, Russian salad, carrot and coriander soup, spiced lentil and coconut soup, butterbean casserole, cauliflower cheeze, leek and mushroom pie, mango cake, banofee pie and chocolate biscuit cake. And that’s for starters.
Gone Raw is great for raw inspiration. Anyone can post their raw recipes which means it is regularly updated, but the quality of the recipe varies. This is one of our favourites: http://www.goneraw.com/recipe/cheese-spring-onions, though we have found quite a few great recipes on the site. Not all the recipes are dairy-, egg- and honey-free, but they are invariably easy to convert.
Vegan Yum Yum
This recipe blog includes beautiful photos and you can tell by the feedback how much people are enjoying the recipes.
Some delicious gourmet recipes from Cordon Vert vegetarian cookery school.
An unlikely candidate, but Google is brilliant if you are looking for ideas on how to use a certain ingredient. Include the word ‘recipe’ in your search, the ingredient and any other qualities you are after e.g. coeliac, vegan etc..
